Adhikari was born in 1920. 1944 in India to participate in "Get out of the Indian Movement were arrested, and joined the Communist Party of Nepal in prison. Adhikari was released from prison in 1950, immediately restored with Communist Party leaders contacted and into the people's movement against the feudal rule of the Rana family. Nepal Communist Party held its first congress in 1953, Adhikari was elected as the party's general secretary. Nepal held its first multiparty elections in May of the same year, he was first elected a Member of Parliament, and elected as the leader of the parliamentary group of the main parliamentary opposition party. Fifth National Party Congress of the Communist Party of Nepal held in September 1993, he was re-elected as the Chairman of the Party. Again in November this year, as the parliamentary group leader of the CPN.
