John Lansing (John Lansing, 1754, 30, -1829 years) (? v history today?? com) the U.S. founding period statesman, lawyer, New York. 1776 -1777 during the War of Independence was Philip Schuyler's military secretary. To enter politics, he served as the sixth Parliament of New York, Albany Mayor. Philadelphia, the Constituent Assembly in 1787, he represented New York to attend the meeting, but against the new constitution, and friend Robert Yates angrily left the meeting. The ratification meeting in New York in 1788, he strongly opposed the constitution again. After the Constitution was adopted, he was actively involved in the legal career.
