abolitionist Harriet Tubman, who helped slaves compatriots to help slaves flee by the "underground railroad" (secret transport network) fled towards freedom brave the illiterate farmer - Harriet Tubman died in her New York home at the age of 92. Tubman was born in an estate on the eastern coast of Maryland. 1849 fled to the north. Since then, she has helped 300 or more slaves fled to the North. During the Civil War, federal troops in South Carolina, she worked as a cook, nurse, scout and detective. After the Civil War, the slaves were free, abolitionists and blacks fellow called her a real heroine.
