March 2, 1949 (Year of the OX February third), U.S. bombers completed the first nonstop around the world flying halfway.
1949 3, 2, 2009, a U.S. B · 50 bomber "lucky lady No. 2" after a flight of 94 hours and 1 minute after take-off at 10:31 on the 2nd, in Texas, Fort Worth landing military base near Fort Cass Virgin, completed the first nonstop flight around the world.
plane B · 50 bomber has 23,452 miles of flight refueling four times. "Lucky lady" the eastward flight will take off just after the February 26 noon. Sunday earlier in the Azores over the refueling time, later in the day refueling over Saudi Arabia, in the evening of 1 over Manila and Hawaii each refueling. Air Force officials said that this flight anywhere that U.S. aircraft may invest the atomic bomb the Earth.
