29 May-2 June 1988, President Reagan and General Secretary Gorbachev in Moscow 4th US-Soviet summit. The two sides discussed the issues of disarmament, regional conflicts, human rights and bilateral relations, to give a positive evaluation of the Geneva agreement on a political solution to the Afghan problem, the two sides exchanged the text of the approval of the INF Treaty, signed two agreements related to disarmament and 7 bilateral agreements. The joint communique issued after the meeting, stressing the importance of continued dialogue. The summit has made certain achievements, but the main issues, namely the failure to reach agreement on the reduction of 50% of Strategic Offensive Arms.
