1998 Hong Kong Legislative Council election was held. Because this is the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to the first Legislative Council elections, it has been the active participation of the public. Day regional election voter turnout as high as 53.29%, while the functional constituency election, voter turnout rate was 63.50%. Days for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in the country, two systems to create a new one.
