1956, (lsjt.net) in the Influence of the 20th Congress of Communist Party of Soviet Union, Khrushchev secret report has aroused strong repercussions in Poland. In early June, Poznan, workers are demanding wage increases and cutting taxes, their negotiations with the government, has not been satisfied with the results.
6, 28, more than 10,000 workers took to the streets, demonstrators impact the Municipal Building and the dictatorship of the organs. The authorities sent the police to quell the night of the incident. The Poznan events in dozens of people were killed and hundreds injured. Polish United Workers' Party initially thought that it is anti-government unrest provoked by the imperialists. Later said, workers took to the streets to protest "not socialist" and "distorted the basic principles of socialism".
