1954 30, French President Pierre - Mendes - Franceville and Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai in Bern, Switzerland meeting the basic conditions for a political solution to the Indochina problem to reach an agreement.

according to the provisions of the Sino-French agreement, after the Armistice, (history com) Vietnam will establish a coalition government, and given support by the French Government of Laos and Cambodia to the neutral status.
