On the fourth day of June (Landmarks), July 11, 1937, the death of American composer George Gershwin.
George Gershwin (1898-1937), the famous American composer. September 26, 1898, was born in Brooklyn, New York City, a poor Russian immigrant families. The age of 14 under the tutelage of the Hamby policies piano, showing the high talent. 1914 dropped out of high school and into the company of the New York publishers Remick, served as advertising pianist. Resigned two years later, and began writing. Songwriting is principally engaged in the 1916-1920 years, these early widespread popular joined in the chorus full of melodic songs, including "Swanee" made him famous.
