The purpose of this flight is to promote the 1939 World Expo. His twin-engine Lockheed aircraft an average speed of 208 miles per hour. The airplane sailed 14,824 miles, made to stay on the way in some areas of Paris, Moscow, Siberia. His flight to break the record of 7 days 18 hours flight around the world created five years ago Willie Post. Hughes returned to New York, there are more than 200 million people on his route through cheering.
