The U.S. military put the 1st Marine Division, Provisional land battle of the 1st Brigade and the Army 77th division, a total of approximately 5.5 million people. Defensive Guam Japanese Army 29 Division, 48 independent mixed brigades group, 10 independent hybrid wing, 52 anti-aircraft artillery brigade and the Navy 54 Guard of about 20,810 people. Guam fighting continued until August 12 of the same year, the Japanese last position was tackled, but the residual sporadic Japanese until September 1945, was the last to surrender. Guam landings, the Japanese army killed 18,560 people, and the rest were captured; U.S. troops killed 1435 people and injured 5648 people.
