In July 2008, the Constituent Assembly of Nepal July 21 to vote for the first president in the history of Nepal. In the late afternoon announcement of the voting results show, the Nepali Congress party presidential candidate Ram Yadav was elected. Constituent Assembly in the first meeting on May 28 declared Nepal a Federal Democratic Republic, thus ending a nearly 240-year-old Shah dynasty.
