July 30, 1945 (, Yiyou June 22), the U.S. military "Indianapolis" was sunk by the Japanese submarine in the Philippine Sea. In In 1945, July 30, 2010, the U.S. Navy "Indianapolis" heavy cruiser Philippine Sea, the Japanese submarine Iraq -58 sunk.
1200 officers and men on board, 300 were killed, and the rest fell into the water about 900 sailors drifting at sea four days after the U.S. military patrol aircraft found that last only 317 people survived. The cruiser set sail from San Francisco on July 16, carrying secret bombing of Japanese atomic bomb core material to Tinian Island.
