7th Asian Games held in Tehran, Iran, from September 1 to 16 in 1974. The nearly 2,400 athletes from a total of 25 countries and regions participated in the competition of the 16 projects. China's first formation Zhao Zhenghong headed a delegation of 269 athletes participated in the 14-game, 33 gold medal, column groups score the third. Chinese shooting athlete Li Yamin became the only athlete to break the world record of the Asian Games. Japanese team won 74 gold medals, continue to maintain the status of the Asian sports chief.
