August 31, 1996 (Rat-July 18), O-157 E. coli outbreak in Japan. Osaka, one hospital temporary set up the "O-157" Emergency Department
intestinal infectious diseases caused by "O-157" E. coli has spread to 44 Japanese prefectures, infection by more than 9,000 people, as of August 31, nine people died. To this end, the Japanese government has set up specialized agencies to take various measures to stop the spread of this infectious disease.
