World Bank and IMF annual meeting venue
1997 September 25, 2009, the end of the World Bank and IMF annual meeting held in Hong Kong. Reference from September 23 to 25, the 52nd Annual Meeting of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The annual conference is the largest international conference held in Hong Kong after its return to the motherland, but also the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, the first annual meeting was held in China. Attended by political leaders, finance ministers and bank governors of more than 180 countries in the world. Chinese Premier Li Peng attended the opening ceremony of the annual meeting, and offered to help developing countries achieve sustainable development of six propositions. Zhu Rongji, Vice Prime Minister attended the annual meeting of some of the activities and make a speech in the meeting. World Bank President James Wolfensohn and IMF president Michel Camdessus, has delivered a speech on the current international financial issues and the World Bank and IMF work. The General Assembly adopted two important resolutions, to reach a consensus on issues such as poverty eradication.
