1953 1 18, the young British physicist Francis Crick and Watson cooperation of the young American biochemist, Cambridge Cavendish Laboratory in the UK revealed that the chemical structure of nucleic acids. They proposed the double helix model of the molecular structure of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), known as the "Watson - Crick model". This achievement later known as "the greatest discoveries of the twentieth century biology" and "decisive breakthrough" in biology, is regarded as a sign of the birth of molecular biology.
