1965, the world's first practical commercial communications satellite - Intelsat-I (also known as the "Early Bird") was launched.
Early Bird officially provide communication services between North America and Europe, creating a new era of satellite commercial communication. The Intelsat system is deployed in over three oceans Intelsat-IV, IVA of and V 16 satellites to provide various communication services 310 ground stations distributed in 135 countries or regions around the world, since 1986 Hughes developed a more advanced Intelsat-V1, its level of service to meet the new standards.
